Join Us Tonight at 2016 Blacksburg Holiday Town Parade
1. Please arrive between 6:30pm to 7:00pm. You MUST enter from West Campus Drive. You can park at the parking garage between Prices Fork and Perry Street, and walk to the line up area. Look for the BCS “Lantern” theme float.
2. Please remember to wear your panda hat if you have one. For the families who want to purchase panda hats, please bring $5 for each before the parade. For kids sitting in the float, please bring a small stool.
3. Our group will start parade at 7PM from Perry St., to Main St. and proceed South. This year we will end the parade at China Inn. Enjoy a cup of warm soup, chicken kabobs, and other snacks at China Inn for only $3 per person.The group will be dismissed at China Inn. We strongly encourage families to plan ahead for carpool. For example, some families can park the cars in front of China Inn before the parade, and carpool to pick up the cars at the parking garage.
4. If you have some candies you want to share, please bring them to the parade. When giving out candies, to insure safety of spectators you are not allowed to throw candies. Please hand them out.
5. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held on Sat. Dec. 3rd at 1PM. Our meeting time will be 12:00-12:30pm. Listen to area radio station on Fri. in the event of inclement weather, or call the Recreation Cancellation Hotline at 540-558-0742 to see if the parade has been rescheduled.
